SHENA provides donations to 20 orphans and Kg. Pintu Malim Mosque during Ramadhan

Friday, 22 March 2024 - In an effort to contribute to the community, the Safety, Health and Environment National Authority (SHENA) had organised a Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) initiative in the holy month of Ramadhan that focused on provide donations to families in need. In demonstrating a strong commitment to social welfare, SHENA made contributions to 20 orphans and provided endowments to the Kg. Pintu Malim Mosque.

The event was led by Yang Mohd Yusof bin Haji Mohd Taufik, Acting Interim Chief Executive Officer (AICEO) of SHENA. The event included the Recital of Surah Yaasin, Doa Tahlil, and Doa Selamat led by the Imam of the Kg. Pintu Malim Mosque and concluded with an Iftar for attending families, mosque-goers and SHENA staff.

The contributions to the orphans and the Kg. Pintu Malim Mosque reflect SHENA’s broader CSR strategy to engage with and make a significant difference in the lives of underprivileged community members, highlighting the role of the Authority in building a supportive and inclusive society.

SHENA's commitment to CSR initiatives such as this reflects the Authority’s commitment to not only health and safety but also to the socio-economic welfare of the Bruneian community, as underscored by the Maqasid Syar'iah. SHENA aims to continuing its drive in organising similar beneficial initiatives in the future with the involvement of community members and other relevant organisations.

This donation drive for orphans and endowments to the Kg. Pintu Malim Mosque was co-organised by the Strategic Planning Division and SHENA’s SAFE team members.
